شیرازی ویلفیئر سوسائٹی کا قیام تقریبا نصف صدی قبل سندھ کے دوسرے بڑے شہر حیدرآباد میں عمل میں آیا، جسے حیدرآباد کی سطح پر رجسٹر کروانے کے ساتھ ہی حیدرآباد میں موجود شیرازی برادری کی فلاح و بہبود اور ترقی کے لئے مختلف ادوار میں مختلف کابینہ کے تحت ایک طویل عرصہ تک شیرازی برادری کیلئے خدمات سر انجام دی جاتی رہیں، وقت گذرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ سوسائٹی سے متعلقہ افراد کی کراچی و دیگر شہروںمیں رہائش اختیار کرنے کی وجہ سے سوسائٹی کی سرگرمیاں ماند ہوتی چلی گئیں، کراچی میں بھی ان حضرات نے طویل عرصہ تک اس نام کے تحت شیرازی برادری کےلئے سرگرمیاں جاری رکھیں اور مختلف پروگراموں کے تحت برادری کے ٹیلنٹ کو اجاگر کرنے میں اہم پیشرفت جاری رکھیں جسکے نام کے تحت نعت خوانی کے پروگرامز، مشہور زمانہ اور سر فہرست “شیرازی ٹیلنٹ ایوارڈ” کے نام سے مختلف سالوں میں کئے گئے پروگرامز شامل ہیں جس نے شیرازی برادری میں بہت مقبولیت حاصل کی، ان پروگراموں کی مقبولیت کی خاص وجہ شیرازی برادری کے حفاظ کرام کی دستار بندی،مختلف کلاسز میں اول سے تیسری پوزیشن حاصل کرنے والے طلبہ و طالبات کو ایوارڈز سے نوازا جانا اسکے علاوہ برادری کے ٹیلینٹڈ افراد کہ جنہوں نے اپنی فیلڈمیں کار ہائے نمایاں انجام دئیے تھے انکی حوصلہ افزائی کرنا تھا، لیکن یہ پروگرام بھی نہ معلوم وجوہات کی بنا پر کئی سال تک نہ ہوسکا اور سوسائٹم کی سرگرمیاں ختم ہوتی چلی گئیں۔
سن 2024 کے ماہ فروری میں شیرازی برادری کی دگرگوں حالت کو دیکھتے ہوئے کہ جس میں برادری کے افراد کی مالی حالت، بیروگاری،شیرازی برادری میں وسائل ہوتے ہوئے بھی تعلیمی سطح کے گراف میں پیشرفت نہ ہونا، برادری میں صحت کے مسائل میں اضافہ اور دیگر ناقابل بیان پرابلمز کی وجہ سے چند افراد نےشیرازی ویلفئیر سوسائٹی کی سرگرمیوں کو بحال کرنے کا ارادہ کرتے ہوئے فوری طور پر شیرازی ویلفیئر سوسائٹی کے زیر تحت شیرازی ویلفیئر کمیٹی قائم کی جسکا مقصد عنقریب آنے والے ماہ رمضان میں شیرازی برادری کے گھرانوں سے زکوہ وفطرہ کے حصول اور شیرازی برادری کی مستحق فیمیلیز چاہے انکا تعلق برادری کے کسی بھی کھیڑے سے ہو ان کی مالی مدد کرناتھا، اور الحمدللہ شیرازی ویلفیئر کمیٹی نے محدود وقت اور وسائل کے ہوتے ہوئے بھی ایک اچھی رقم زکوہ و فطرہ کی مد میں حاصل کی جس کی اصل وجہ شیرازی برادری کے افراد کی شیرازی ویلفیئر کمیٹی میں موجود افراد بر اعتماد تھا کہ یہ افراد کھیڑوں کی تفریق سے بالا تر ہوکر, جو رقم جس مد میں دی جارہی ہے اسے وہیں پر پہنچائیں گے اور الحمدللہ شیرازی ویلفیئر کمیٹی نے سال 2024 کے ماہ رمضان المبارک میں حاصل کی گئی زکوۃ و فطرہ %۱۰۰ شرعی تقاضوں کے عین مطابق ادا کردیئے گئے ہیں۔
The Shirazi Welfare Society was established nearly half a century ago in Hyderabad, the second-largest city in Sindh. After being registered at the Hyderabad level, the society actively served the Shirazi community for an extended period under various cabinets, focusing on their welfare and development. However, as time passed, many associated members relocated to Karachi and other cities, leading to a decline in the society’s activities.
Even in Karachi, members continued to carry out activities under the same name for a long time, organizing various programs to highlight the talent within the shirazi community. These initiatives included Naat recitation programs and the renowned “shirazi Talent Award”, which was held in different years and gained immense popularity within the shirazi community. The key reason behind the success of these programs was the recognition and appreciation of shirazi community members, such as the honoring of Huffaz (Quran memorizers), awarding students securing top three positions in different classes, and encouraging talented individuals who had achieved excellence in their respective fields. However, due to unknown reasons, these programs were discontinued for several years, leading to the complete halt of the society’s activities.
Revival of the shirazi Welfare Society in 2024
In February 2024, after observing the deteriorating condition of the shirazi community—including financial struggles, unemployment, lack of progress in education despite available resources, increasing health issues, and other significant problems—a few dedicated individuals decided to revive the activities of the shirazi Welfare Society. As an immediate step, they established the shirazi Welfare Committee under the society’s banner. The committee’s primary goal was to collect Zakat and Fitrah from shirazi households during the upcoming Ramadan and to provide financial assistance to deserving families, regardless of which sub-group they belonged to within the community.
Achievements of shirazi Welfare Committee in Ramadan 2024
With limited time and resources, the shirazi Welfare Committee successfully collected a substantial amount in Zakat and Fitrah. This achievement was largely due to the trust that shirazi community members had in the committee’s team, believing that they would distribute the collected funds fairly and without any discrimination among sub-groups.
Alhamdulillah, in Ramadan 2024, 100% of the collected Zakat and Fitrah funds were distributed strictly according to Islamic guidelines, ensuring that the contributions reached the rightful recipients.
